Introduction

Malaika Arora, an Indian actress, dancer, model, and television personality, was born on October 23, 1973, and is well-known for her roles in Hindi films. In 2008, she and her ex-husband Arbaaz Khan co-founded Arbaaz Khan Productions, which produced the Dabangg television series. Two notable movies include EMI (2008) and Kaante (2002). Early life and background 

Malaika Arora, whose name derives from the Swahili word for "angel," was born in Thane, Maharashtra. Her father, Anil Arora, is a Punjabi Hindu from Fazilka who served in the Indian Merchant Navy; her mother, Joyce Polycarp, is a Malayali Christian. She went to Chembur with her mother and sister Amrita when she was eleven years old, following the divorce of her parents. She went to Holy Cross High School and Swami Vivekanand School in Thane. Career

Malaika Arora hosted shows including Club MTV and Love Line during her early days as a VJ for MTV India. She made the switch to modeling, showing up in commercials and music videos, such as the well-known "Chaiyya Chaiyya" from Dil Se... Her then-husband Arbaaz Khan created the blockbuster item single "Munni Badnaam Hui" from Dabangg, in which she starred. She also established a world record by choreographing a dance to the song. She appeared in concerts with Atif Aslam and other celebrities, and she promoted products including Taiwan Excellence and Dabur's 30-Plus. She appeared in Happy New Year in 2014.

Television

In addition to performing item numbers on Nach Baliye, Malaika Arora served as a judge in 2005 and 2006. In 2010, she served as a judge on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Zara Nachke Dikha. She presented and judged MTV Supermodel of the Year (2019), served as a judge on India's Got Talent, and served as a judge on India's Best Dancer (2020).

Personal life

Bollywood star Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora wed in 1998; nevertheless, they divorced in May 2017 due to incompatibilities after splitting up in March 2016. Arhaan, their son, was born in 2002. Arora was granted primary custody of their kid following the divorce. In 2016, she started dating Arjun Kapoor, an actor, and in 2020, she went vegan. She sustained injuries in an automobile accident on the Mumbai–Pune Expressway in April 2022. In 2024, Anil Arora, her father, committed suicide.
