A memecoin based on the Solana (SOL) blockchain that competes with the likes of Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) is gaining traction following a recent significant listing.

Bonk (BONK) was listed on KuCoin's platform yesterday. KuCoin is renowned for supporting "altcoin gems" and is the sixth-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume.

The release states that BONK withdrawals can be made as early as tomorrow, and BONK trading starts today.

At the close of 2022, BONK was introduced as a large Christmas airdrop to the Solana community, nearly symbolizing the lowest point in terms of both feeling and price.

One of the most extensively distributed currencies on Solana, BONK has reached an all-time high of 480k unique holders in the months since its introduction. BONK is used by over 100 apps.

The goal of BONK is to promote apps that are "Only possible on Solana" and reward devoted Solana users.

Since the beginning of the year, it has continued to be the most traded token on Solana, behind only Solana and USDC on the majority of days.

According to Austin Federa, head of strategy and communications at the Solana Foundation, as early as January of this year, Bonk is building a solid community as long as there are active addresses on the Solana network.

Since then, BONK's price action has exploded, rising 14.6% in the previous day. As of the time of writing, the token with a dog motif is worth $0.000004.
