GPT-4 is the fourth generation of text-generating Artificial Intelligence (AI) created by OpenAI. The model was trained on unprecedentedly large amounts of data to produce its extraordinarily flexible sentence structure and exceptionally diverse vocabulary. Unlike previous versions of GPT, GPT-4 isn't always able to produce logical responses, but it can be surprisingly coherent when prompted with short word combinations. GPT-4 is the most recent in a series of text-generating AI systems from OpenAI. It was trained on a staggering amount of data — roughly 500 billion words, culled from the internet — to produce its extraordinarily wide vocabulary and flexible sentence structure.

The model is capable of producing fluid, surprisingly coherent paragraphs of text, sometimes even complete with correct formatting and punctuation.

But interestingly, there isn't always a clear structure to these prompts — they can be as short as a single word or phrase.

And the results show that GPT-4 can handle a lot of different tasks, ranging from answering general knowledge questions to writing articles and poetry.
