The Shiba Inu community has reignited its efforts to burn meme coins, according to data from the Shibburn tracking platform. After a several-day pause, burn transactions have resumed, coinciding with a surge in the SHIB price.

In the past 24 hours alone, the community has burned an impressive 28,648,321 SHIB tokens. This significant burn surge has pushed the overall daily burn rate up by a staggering 1,253.14%. A total of 13 burn transactions have been recorded so far, with the largest one involving the transfer of 24,781,360 SHIB to an unspendable blockchain wallet.

Prior to the recent surge, the platform had not registered any burn transactions for several days. This resumption of burning activity comes as Shiba Inu's market performance has shown a positive trend. The meme cryptocurrency has experienced a nearly 3% increase in value over the past 24 hours, reaching a level of $0.00001442.

The resurgence in burn activity aligns with the celebration of the one-year anniversary of Shibarium, the layer-2 solution for the SHIB ecosystem. Since its launch, Shibarium has processed over 418 million transactions and connected more than 1.8 million wallets. The Shiba Inu team and community have expressed their excitement and pride in this significant milestone.
