Shibarium, the layer-2 blockchain associated with the Shiba Inu ecosystem, has experienced a remarkable surge in activity in the last 24 hours. According to data from Shibariumscan, the number of new accounts joining the network has skyrocketed by a staggering 450%.

This dramatic increase translates to 27 new accounts created within the analyzed period, compared to just 6 the day before. This surge in new users signifies a growing interest in the Shibarium network and its potential.

Furthermore, the total number of active accounts on Shibarium has also witnessed a significant rise of 23%, climbing from 489 to 602.

Interestingly, this influx of new users coincides with a noticeable uptick in the amount of BONE tokens used for transaction fees. BONE serves as the native gas fee for Shibarium transactions, with a portion of each fee burned, ultimately reducing the overall supply of SHIB tokens and contributing to a deflationary model.

Transaction fees paid in BONE have increased from 19.31 to 40.14, reflecting the heightened activity on the network. This rise in fees aligns with the increase in new accounts and transaction volume.

The number of daily transactions on Shibarium has soared to an impressive 4,319, representing a substantial 35.6% increase compared to the previous day.
